Ice Cream Bread Recipe Is Deliciously Easy

ice cream bread recipeAre you ready for what is perhaps the easiest bread recipe ever? Contrary to popular belief it isn’t hard to make bread at all. Break maker manufacturers and bakeries around the world would have you believe that you need some special equipment to bake your own bread but that is far from the truth. In fact all you need are two things: ice cream and self-rising flour.

Yes you read that right: ice cream and flour. You don’t need a fancy bread maker or equipment and you don’t need to run down to your local bakery to enjoy the yummy goodness of fresh baked bread anymore.

Got the ingredients ready? Good. Then get ready for the easiest directions ever:

Let the ice cream melt and mix 1 parts ice cream to 1 parts self-rising flour. For a regular sized 9″x5″ bread pan, 2 cups of ice cream and 2 cups of flour will do. This serves 3-4. Also try and avoid using those low-fat ice creams. The result is not as wonderful and tasty. You need the fat in there to substitute for the fat you normally find in butter.

In fact, the reason why this works is because ice cream itself is mostly just sugar, eggs, and fat… three ingredients commonly found in bread.

If you don’t have self-rising flour you can also make it with regular flour. Again, just use 2 cups of flour, 2 tsp baking powder, and 1/2 tsp of salt.

Throw it in the oven at 350° for 30-40 minutes. When the bread is done let it cool (resist the urge to dig in immediately, we know the smell and suspense will be killing you)! Then cut it up and enjoy your ice cream bread with the immense satisfaction that you just made something considered usually very intensive and difficult so very very easy.

The result is a sweet and delicious bread that goes with just about everything! The best part is you can make a different flavor every time just by switching ice creams! Matcha green tea sweet bread recipe anyone???
