Danger Dogs Recipe

Ingredients

Yield: 8 hot dogs

• 8 hot dog wieners
• 8 hot dog buns
• 8-16 bacon strips
• 1 onion
• ketchup
• mustard
• mayonnaise

Directions

1. If you want to live dangerously and eat a real danger dog, you can skip this step. Otherwise, you may consider boiling the hot dog to make sure it’s cooked. Note that danger dog vendors bypass this step and nobody has died from eating a danger dog’ yet.
2. Completely wrap a hot dog wiener with 1-2 strips of bacon. Danger dog vendors come well-prepared with bacon pre-wrapped hot dogs for quick grill to order action.
3. Chop some rings of onion to grill alongside the hot dog cramped-vendor-cart-style.
4. Grill the bacon wrapped hot dog until the bacon turns a crispy brown.
5. While it’s cooking, put the hot dog bun right on top of the hot dog. This way you can soak up some of the greasy bacon goodness and heat the buns at the same time. Don’t skip this step, this is how it’s done.
6. When the bacon is cooked, the onions and buns will be done too. Put it all together.
7. Top it all off with generous portions of ketchup, mustard, and lots of mayonnaise.
